NEW, ADVENTUROUS FOODS... THE SAME WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS

As we embark toward the wonder and adventure of the future, there’s a part of us that gets tugged back to where it all began. Because as much as we crave the new, we always keep a deep appreciation in our hearts for what came before.

Our roots first took hold humbly, when Robert Nissenbaum opened Morning Dew Organic Food Market in St. Louis, MO in the early 1970s. One of the first markets of its kind in the country, Morning Dew was born from Nissenbaum’s desire to share the benefits of a new way of living he’d discovered. Judging from his success, many of his friends and neighbors agreed.

In 1982, Robert expanded his store and re-named it Imagine Foods. He took some of his products (including early versions of Rice DREAM Rice Drink and Rice DREAM Frozen Dessert) to a natural food industry trade show. Distributors took one taste of these new plant-based alternatives that were actually good for you – and the food industry was forever changed! Stores far and wide wanted their customers to experience the food revolution promised by plant-based beverages and foods.

Today, DREAM and Imagine Foods are part of The Hain Celestial Group, the country’s largest and most respected natural and organic foods company. Hain makes some of the country’s best-selling organic and natural products: Dream, Earth’s Best®, Arrowhead Mills®, Spectrum®, Garden of Eatin’®, and many more.

Some of our offerings are a bit more adventurous than they were back in 1982. But we believe it’s hard to improve on nature, so we still start with ingredients that are sourced responsibly directly from the earth.

Back then, it was all about creating food that was better. Better quality. Better tasting. Better nutritionally. Better for you. Food that we could feel good about bringing home to our own families each day. Nutritious food our customers trusted us to make delicious enough that even their children would eat. Today, when we look back to our roots, we see nothing has changed at all, really. And that is the secret to our success.

We appreciate your interest in our products and hope that you and your family will celebrate them for years to come, as we do.
